great value for money hotel, had a really good stay on our previous visit too. the restaurant was good and the breakfast was warm with scrambled egg, hot food barely hot, cheeses. the location of the property was excellent - relatively close to a tinted castle. this hotel was set in a very nice area.

I lovely spend 1 night in Taunton. The double room was comfortable with comfy beds. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. I found the hotel's location quiet, near to the pub and roundabout.

It was a wonderful base for our lovely stay.

Convenient location for business visits that day. Good choice of food at the Harvester to eat evening meal.

Bath towels could have done with being a bit bigger.

A Pleasant Stay with Some Minor Hiccups

Enjoyed our two-night stay. The staff's quick response to our towel request impressed us. Breakfast was busy, but the staff kept things moving. The comfortable bed, and we appreciated the ability to stream our favorite shows. Arrive early for parking!

Clean, comfortable, convenient; no shortage of refreshments i.e. tea/coffee FOC, also other snacks for purchase at any time of day/evening.

Limited hanging space for clothing: we found the alignment of rails at right angles not convenient - one single slightly longer rail would have been better.

best thing we have found is the quality-price ratio, so for 60 euros a night with breakfast included for 4 people has exceeded our expectations, as well as the cleanliness, ease and speed of check-in and check-out, free parking recommended and fact that you can pay there directly and cancel up to two days in advance.

The breakfast was correct, simple, but in some moments devoid of some things because they were not enough for the weekend and we had to ask for change of pillows because they were very high and hard and two shower towels because there was only room for two people but they solved it immediately. There's only a soap dispenser but you can order what you haven't brought. And with the sofa bed open the room becomes very small and a bit uncomfortable because there is no place to put 4 suitcases but I insist that in general for the quality-price ratio you can't ask for more.

A Convenient Stay with Friendly Staff

My partner and I enjoyed a lovely two-night stay, finding the nearby Harvester to be a fantastic dining option after a basic menu at the hotel. The staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The pub next door is a real bonus serving excellent meals and reasonable prices. I think this is a big plus for you.

The breakfast was ok although cutlery and crockery should be checked for cleanness before been put out. I had a job finding knifes and forks which were clean also bowls.

Staff were some of the most friendly we have come across on our various travels. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was very good and location was also good. We would certainly recommend this Holiday Inn Express as closeness to M5 excellent.
